(hoe-de-hoe) Big Toe Blues

Album: 100 Years of Heaven
By:
Mr Nobody Jones

Duration

3:08

Description

I wrote this song the same night I wrote the Centennial Song. I was inspired by the thought of pitching up a lean-to off in the woods, when learing I'd have to find a new place to live. Recorded in 1993, I unfortunately can't recall the vocalisit's name.

Lyrics

(Hoe-de-Hoe) Big Toe Blues Where I'm living now there aint no phones and no T.V. or moans and groans and I dont pay rent on a closet full of bones but there's sure a lot of piece of mind. I dont bother no one and no one bothers me and there aint no locks so I dont need a key and in the daylight hours its easy to see but when night falls I go blind I dont own a dog so I dont need a fence and when the fog sets in, it gets pretty dense and if your starting to wonder if Im making any sense pay attention or you'll get behind ** Now there aint no roofs and there arent any doors and there arent any windows and there arent any floors and there arent any dressers so there arent any drawers and my address is hard to find Bridge Cause Im a backwoods bugger in the prime of my life I never been married so I aint got a wife I just stumble thru the bushes with my hatchet and my knife hollerin hoe -de- hoe. and if ya think that I sound like I aint quite right just a bashing thru the boonies in the middle of the night and a screaming my lungs out with all a my might well I just stubbed=my big toe! So if you go off on vacation feller and you choose to go bashing thru the bushes better wear your shoes or you might learn how to sing the of big toe blues Hoe-de-hoe -de-oh-h-h-h-h-h! Ride (Repeat back to asterisks **) Out --------------- A-O-O-O-H ! Time: 3:06 Written by: H.E.
