We were having a lot of friction in our band, a lot of it stemming from me and my love of the sauce. Brian had a serious heart to heart with me one day and basically said, "if you don't get better, I don't know if I can continue to be around you." Brian was telling me in no uncertain terms that he wasn't gonna watch me kill myself slowly with the booze.
