I love this track. I came here knowing a few of the bands or their music. I will leave truly enriched. Awesome.

James, I'm very impressed with this instrumentation. Beautiful. Amazing that all of this is guitar. You are a very talented musician!

(extract from August 2008 blog

This month I’ve selected another instrumental “The Light At The End Of The Tunnel?” in Solo Instrumental channel. This piece was inspired by a rather unusual thought I had of the last few minutes of a person’s life – a soundtrack to the prelude to death – The Light At The End Of The Tunnel being (perhaps hence the question mark in the title) the end of this world and the promise of the next one – the transformation to a better place and the freeing of the soul from mortal constraints…well thats what was in my head when it came together! – It is in an alternate tuning (as indeed are all my entries this month – the same one in fact – available on request)and includes some of my favourite chord changes I’ve written and the distinctive and unusual downward chord progression towards the end of the piece. It’s the third track on my solo slbum “Ten Miles Out Of Midnight” and the piece I normally open my live set with (dry ice aplenty for this one lol!). Spooky, thought-provoking and unnerving is best how I sum up the feel of this particular composition
