(verse 1) i like cold beer on a hot summer day the feeling my honey's never going away seeing a smile on my kids faces and making new memories in different places i don't like dealing with peoples drama i really don't care for president obama i don't like liars & war or death and not knowing what's going on next (chorus) that's part of life as my daddy would say you can't always get what you want and things don't always go your way so live your life, the best you can cause there's some things in this world you just can't change...that's part of life (verse 2) i like listening to music cruising down country roads and thinking about what the future holds i like spending time with my family there is no place that i'd rather be i don't like waiting on people or change of plans i dont like fighting over stupid things i can't stand cocky attitudes or thieves & cheaters, fake people that are just plain rude (chorus) that's part of life as my daddy would say you can't always get what you want and things don't always go your way so live your life, the best you can cause there's some things in this world you just can't change...that's part of life
