Description

True story of when my 10 year old step son asked me if there was a Santa Clause. He was at the age where he needed to know the truth that most definitely there was a Santa Claus though not in exactly the way he believed when he was younger.

Lyrics

Oh the lights are low and don't you know it's a Christmas time of year. Where all that shows is the tip of your nose cause it's oh so cold up here. But we run and play and we glow all day and the wind that blows takes care of the snow and everybody knows that Santas coming. But then one day a little boy rose to me with a fearful look in his eye. His hands were trembling along with his heart from his age I could see just why. And the gumption came like molasses in the rain, and the words were clear as he touched my hear, then he said to me, Is there a Santa Well my eyes weren't clear as I filled a tear cause I knew just what to say, the man in red is oh long gone but his heart is here to stay, cause you're old enough now to feel just how that we all share ole Santa's brow and your gonna grow up to be a Santa. Well he looked at me and he slapped his knee he could feel it had to be true. And the guy in red in the mall he said is mostly me and you. And relief rolled down and his heart went up and a smile rolled around all the brim of his cup, and he turned all red just like a Santa. Oh the lights are low and don't you know it's a Christmas time of year. Where all that shows is the tip of your nose cause it's oh so cold up here. But we run and play and we glow all day and the wind that blows takes care of the snow and everybody knows that Santas' coming. Everybody knows that Santa's coming.
