Contemporary Christian; I wrote this song in fall, 2008 when the economy went sour to encourage my co-workers. They were afraid that we were all going to lose our jobs. I said, "No we're not, and even if we do, don't you know that God will take care of us?" A year later, Fall 2009, we all did get laid off. As of this writing (November 2010), I'm still unemployed, but praise God that He is providing and taking care of me.

Verse 1 Day has turned to night to dim The fading dreams of what might have been. And you question how I make it through the day You’re wondering why I believe This fate is not my destiny And how I know that I will be O.K. Chorus When life comes crashing down and I Am in the worst of worst conditions; When things don’t go according to my plans I stand upon this Solid Rock That’s as firm as my convictions, ‘Cause I know Who holds the future in His hands. Verse 2 I don’t profess to know today What lies beyond tomorrow. What the future holds, I cannot see.
