Running away when it's hard to deal with a life situation sometimes feels like the only answer when life feels overwhelming. Or it can let one regroup and heal (lick one's wounds) when things aren't working...that is what is meant by the line, "Nail me down, into the ground", in order to come back stronger. Isolation, in some cases, allows for some profound growth and personal transformation when facing a personal crisis or when people have hurt you in some way.
