Mask

This song was written after Ginger visited a website filled with the stories of various hate crimes victims. She was prompted to do so after seeing Ellen Degeneres talk on her show about a 4th grade boy who was shot and killed by his classmate for trying to give him a valentine. Ginger read countless other stories and with her heart torn open, she sat down and wrote Mask. It is not only about the needless, baffling violence of hate crimes but also about our human desire to just be who we are.
