Description
This song was originaly written in as a deep and personal impressions in response to the 9/11 attacks. The 'Zen Radio' was my silent filter tuning in toward some hope of transformation beyond (and through...) that horror.
Lyrics
I am a restless man. I've walked through fire... Now the light upon me has gone out. I am the victim of My best laid plans... They have carried me along. (I will not forget that day. I can't make it go away.) ...made no provision for what I can't see shining in 'dawn's early light'. Down dusty corridors, this signal flows... must choose again to fly or fight. (I will not forget that day. I can't make it go away.) The kick inside, to open wide the valley of the shadow on my Zen Radio. We saved the first for last in dream betrayal. Old spells contaminate the world. This casual dumbing-down... dead fingers count - Ghostly remnants fly unfurled. (I will not forget that day. I can't make it go away.) The kick inside, to open wide the valley of the shadow on my Zen Radio. I am a restless man reborn by fire... shining in 'dawn's early light'. Down dusty corridors, in amber waves, I watch the gleam of last twilight. The kick inside, to open wide the valley of the shadow on my Zen Radio. [2x]...tuned to Zen Radio.
