I heard a recording of a random guitar solo by some guy who was just jamming in the studio, I immediately wrote the chorus in my head and asked if I could use it, took it home and wrote the rest of the song. I just liked the rhythm and didn’t want to write anything too deep, so “I Was Blind” is about a girl who doesn’t wanna settle down, just playing the field, thinking she has control until she falls and its too late.
