Description
I came up with the chorus for this song while sitting in the parking lot of a CVS in Tampa. I later wrote the verses around the chorus I had written, and as of now, it is my favorite song I've written thus far.
Lyrics
Words I've Never Said© by:Eric Miller [Eric Miller Songwriting] There's 27 seconds from the front porch to her car. She slams the door and makes her way. Instantly, I think of all the perfect words. That my mouth could never say. And she says: "Is this really it?" And I said... Well I didn't say a thing All the words I never said are still trapped inside my head I should have spoke but I was nervous, so I held my tongue instead. All I do these days is wonder about the life I never led. Somebody stole my everything with the words I never said. Today at work I watched my boss walk up to me, And he said, "Son, I think you've lost your touch." "You see that new guy in your char? He starts today, Maybe 10 years is enough." Now I could of said, "This job is everything and I need it." But I didn't. All the words I never said are still trapped inside my head I should have spoke but I was nervous, so I held my tongue instead. All I do these days is wonder about the life I never led. Somebody stole my everything with the words I never said. Copyright 2010 Eric Ray Miller [Eric Miller Songwriting]
