The difference between and attitude of abundance and an attitude of scarcity determines much of our happiness in life. Those that "got", or are thankful and appreciative for the things they have will attract more. Those "getting", or always "needing" and "wanting" more will never have "enough" in their minds, always looking for the next best thing, not appreciating the gifts right in front of them.
