Sometime life can lead to self-doubt and can force one to escape into the inner self because the outer problems are to big to be solved. Since a total escape from all problems is impossible the protagonist starts to fight himself out of these adversities to free himself. After this struggle he emerges from his ashes to a new and better existence.
