This song was inspire by the loss of friendship when feelings develop. The easy-going, care-free aspects of friendship are replaced by awkwardness and uncertainty, eventually climaxing in complete alienation or romantic revery. A rough take, but it captures well the raw emotion behind the lyrics and the pure essence of the melody.
