Description
"Soldier In Disguise" commemorates the martyrdom of patron saint Morris (a medieval moorish knight) who stood for righteousness and refused to bow to the idols of a tyrant king. The song personifies that soldier that dwells inside all of us as one fights for the underdog.
Lyrics
A moor would rather die a martyred man Than pay homage to your pagan gods Or would you rather die a modern man? Then pay homage to Maximian? (Repeat) So open up your eyes And see a soldier in disguise Beheaded Betrayed Derailed St. Morris I stand for your sons and daughters And lead them to the path of Living Waters But some would rather starve of hunger and then . . . Pay homage to pagan gods of men (Repeat chorus)
