Description

This is a fictional song inspired by a real guy named "Mosh," who one day said, "I got married because I don't want to be lonely, but I want to be left alone." Shortly thereafter, a story popped into my head about a guy who falls in love with a girl after slamming into her in a mosh pit. A song was born.

Lyrics

I woke up this morning, empty heart and aching head I thought of the good things we had and last thoughts left unsaid But the most telling memory, were her last words on the phone She said, "I don't want to be lonely –– but I want to be left alone." I met her in the Mosh pit, we slammed together as one When I woke I couldn't find her, one concussion, and she was gone … Thrown together by fortune, then we came unglued Momentum stole my true love, that's the Mosh Pit blues. I searched until I caught her as she hurtled through the town Grabbed her as she passed me, fought to slow her down. I laughed with joy and tears, when she married me I truly cried when she achieved escape velocity. I still go back to that Mosh pit, hope she'll hit on me again But I doubt I'll ever find her, our orbits aren't the same Once we moved as one, but then we came unglued A crash and then a phone call, that's the Mosh Pit blues. It's hard overstate my love, and her impact on my life My bones were bruised and head contused by my errant wife But the most telling memory, were her last words on the phone She said, "I don't want to be lonely –– but I want to be left alone." I met her in the Mosh pit, we slammed together as one When I woke I couldn't find her, one concussion, and she was gone … Thrown together by fortune, then we came unglued Momentum stole my true love, that's the Mosh Pit blues.
