Hate and Love

My mother died of lung cancer a bit less than a year ago - this song is what I experienced while she was dying in the hospital. Needless to say we had a complicated relationship. This was not an easy song to write, but it was something that I felt I had to do. Love and hate and love and hate all wind themselves around everything that we had to do with each other.
