Description
*Christmas Eve Shoppers Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from Christmas Eve Shopping. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop leaving Christmas Shopping until the last minute. Our primary purpose is to shop early and help other Christmas Eve Shoppers to do the same.
Lyrics
It’s the day before Christmas, my forehead starts to sweat, My hands start shaking; I haven’t started yet! Thank God I’ve made a list at least, that will save some time, Most of all I hope the mall stays open until nine. There’s no time now to worry if the sweater’s the right size, Or the bath towels the right color; you’ll just apologize, There's no time now to wonder if the tie will please your dad, The Christmas Eve shopper will grab one and be glad. We’re the Christmas Eve Shoppers, it happens every year, Instead of Christmas spirit we’re filled with Christmas fear, With list in hand we reprimand ourselves and wonder why We can’t be like the shoppers who started in July. The store is almost closing, the tension’s running high, I search the toy department with one gift left to buy; A teenage mutant ninja turtle, just the thing to get For a nephew in Alberta I’ve never even met. We’re the Christmas Eve Shoppers, it happens every year... The cashier feels no pity as she totals the amount, Depleting this year’s savings from what was my bank account. I gather up my parcels, wishing her “Merry Christmas,” I wonder if my Uncle Fred will like his garlic press. We’re the Christmas Eve Shoppers, it happens every year... Available on itunes.
