Lyrics

[Dubulaye] I perfectly execute my rhymes like Ted Bundy; lyrical electrocution, I keep goin' like the Energizer Bunny. Why go green when we could all just go Dubulaye? The voltage in my flow could take us off the grid permanently. I don't mean to brag, but what can I say? Try to describe me as an artist; lyrical genius is the only way. Got lines fresher than a mouth full of Listerine, I keep the underground scene glistening. Listening to mainstream is nothin' but a mystery to me, there's absolutely no intellectual value from what I can see. No stimulation for your mind, I think it's time that my thought-provoking lyrics got a chance to shine. A true artist, creatin' audio designs. I'm the definition of clever and originality combined. And yet I'll still never be signed, but I do this simply for the love of it so that is perfectly fine, yeah. We don't need any sympathy. We just want you to see that we do our own thing. And we're not here to hold your hand; we're here to blow your mind, mind. [Dubulaye] Yeah, this is a feel good tune so send it to a sick friend with a card that says 'Get Well Soon.' I'm weavin' tracks with my lyrical loom; started as a seed, poured so much of my flow on it I made the beat bloom. Hip-hop isn't dead, I discovered the tomb. It was buried alive, I dug it up, now it's back so resume creatin' real rap, not the crap you see on TV; that isn't hip-hop, it's merely an imposter, believe me. Mainstream attempted to murder the game; a massive conspiracy -- took the genre and made it mundane. Did away with the clever lyrics and then started to brain wash society, opened their pockets and started stakin' their claim. They fakin', they lame, all they doin' is takin' the fame from real rappers who tryin' to make a name to make 'em remain unknown to the world forever, yeah they'll never attain the dream they was aimed at and the industry is to blame. We don't need any sympathy. We just want you to see that we do our own thing. And we're not here to hold your hand; we're here to blow your mind, mind. [Jermaine] Hip-hop's in dire need of a new echelon of emcees to brilliantly tell their stories cleverly through poetry. Without the stereotypical mindset, our complex lyricism is much more intelligent. Rap needs to get back to the content and change the perception 'cause currently it's headed in the wrong direction. Mainstream intricately positioned the industry so artists are motivated by loot but lack the ability to provide an accurate portrait of reality 'cause most of you rappers are all faker than Ali G. Stop saturatin' the game with fictional fantasy. Unlike mainstream, we report facts in our autobiography. You're killin' me softly, quit actin' like Lauryn. Rap needs us, just like the league needed Jordan. 'Cause music, I sympathize with your affliction; I can ease your pain, call me the doctor, here's your prescription. We don't need any sympathy. We just want you to see that we do our own thing. And we're not here to hold your hand; we're here to blow your mind, mind. credits from Dubulaye, Jermaine & Lindsey present...
