Description
A song I wrote about a good friend of mine in high school.
Lyrics
Make up your mind, there's no reason or rhyme to a lot of the things that I hear you say, The way you are, how high you set the bar, changes so greatly from day to da, And sometimes I don't understand you, And I think you know it's true, You're like a walking paradox and none of the clocks ever have to give you a cue. You want to do well but you can never tell how to motivate yourself, You're an over-achiever, yet an under-eliever, on non-existant faults you dwell, You say one thing and then, Change it right back again, And if you went to the beach with Betty, well I'd know where you've been. Sometimes I wish you'd change how you think, Wish you didn't do the things you do, But my friend I don't want it to end, 'Cause I guess it's just what makes you you. One moment you're off the wall and in the next moment so depressed, And some of the things you know I can only hope to guess, You've got Middle Child Syndrome, Sometimes your parents you love to defy, And I see you up there on stage doin' things that I would never try. Sometimes I wish you'd change how you think, Wish you didn't do the things you do, But my friend I don't want it to end, 'Cause I guess it's just what makes you you. You ignored me for a long, long time, For what I did I gotta say "my bad," It came as a shock when you spoke to me again but I must say I was glad. Sometimes I don't understand you, And I think you know it's true, You're like a waling paradox and none of the clocks ever have to give you a clue. You say one thing and then, Change it right back again, You change your mind and no clocks that tell the time ever have to tell you when.
