Description
We have a bird named Ozzy who travels with us when we're on the road, he loves it. During a recent songwriting session we were challenged to write a song about our traveling bird, this song was the result of that challenge.
Lyrics
Earl Musick Tell you a story about a traveling bird He’s never found a loss for words Traveling around in a van called Gus Thinks it’s his personal bus Traveling down to Austin just to hear that sound Like any cool bird when he’s out on the town Ozzie rides around in his traveling digs Travels with the band from gig to gig With fire in his eyes and a song in his heart Just a traveling bird doing his part Driving to New Orleans going to lend a hand Mississippi mud in the Cajun land Traveling bird on a Saturday night With his crew locked down and his groove just right Blazing up to Memphis on a moon light run Hit the Black Diamond going to have some fun With fire in his eyes and a song in his heart Just a traveling bird doing his part He likes to jive about Big Ass Trucks Kisses the girls and makes them strut Laughing out loud at the top of his lungs Ain’t no song that ain’t been sung Traveling thru the south just to hear the blues Spreads his wings and shares the news
