"as it turns out" was written in a few furious minutes while my kids ran around the room screaming about wanting to go to the park. I promised I'd take them to the park after the song was finished. I wrote what made sense to me at the time, and I think, though I hardly recognize the narrative voice in the song, that its the most emotionally relevant song I've uploaded today and quite possibly the subject of the longest run-on sentence I have ever written.
