Lyrics
Gone Long Gone Well I got home Sunday mornin Found the goodbye on the door. I kicked the door in, checked the house out But she wasn't there no more. So I fired up my old pickup headed for the western shore. I don't think I'll find her She's gone gone gone long gone. I missed her by a couple of days when I asked in Sante Fe. The barkeep said he'd seen her She was headed to LA. So I jumped back in my pickup and I drove all night and day. I don't think I'll catch her She's gone gone gone long gone. So I'll stop for gas around Phoenix maybe grab a lunch to go. I'm trying hard to catch that girl There's so much she should know. I've got the pedal to the floorboard And I hope this Ford don't blow. I don't think she's coming back She's gone gone gone long gone. Yeah I wish that I could change her mind She's gone gone gone long gone
