Description
I wrote and produced this song in memory of my grandmother who just passed away at the ripe old age of 102. I told her on one of our final visits that I had written a song for her and her reply was, "Well, I'll have to wait until I'm in Heaven to hear it."...What a woman/matriarch/and Grandmother. She will be missed.....
Lyrics
BMI RingoLake Music (c)2015 I looked to the sky when you said good-bye tears filled up my eyes so I just cried As you left in one last breath (CHORUS) Ahh Put on your wings it's time to fly So high you'll never come down Ahh Lift up your wings and aim real high and you'll be heavenly bound (SOLO) Memories fill your photographs as I turn each page All the things you touched left behind time to rearrange Grief is the pain that we start with today Time is our friend when it slowly fades away We're left behind but we'll be ok Time is our friend when it slowly fades away I'll miss you I loved you too (CHORUS) Ahh Put on your wings it's time to fly So high you'll never come down Ahh Lift up your wings and aim real high and you'll be heavenly bound Ahh Put on your wings it's time to fly So high you'll never come down Ahh Lift up your wings and aim real high and you'll be heavenly bound *whispered* Good-bye........................
