Description

At 55 years young, I was sitting around one night and started thinking about the paralells between the history I lived through music and world events. TYhe song uses many references to popular ad concepts and music that I grew up with and has fun with double meanings as well as making a few nods to a lot of artists.

Lyrics

I'm a child of the 50's, grew up with some Hippies Saw the 70's and 80's too Redefined the "Gay" 90's, kept my bowl so tidy, saw teh Bible preinted as "Good News" I saw the King of Rock and the King of POp, a Guitar God and the King of the Blues. I own a gun and a knife, I tend to vote on the right, my DVR is not set to "The View" I support the troops and their commander too, for they've both got a job to do. They protect my freedom, so these songs I'm singin' can be shared by me & you. So I was sitten' here thinkin' ' bout WAR, just "Crusin' with the National Debt", never been to San Francisco, still cook food in Crisco, and you "Aint seen nothing yet". Rode my Magic Carpet, cross "That ribbon of highway" took a train called "New Orleans". Flew the "Friendly Skies" above, saw the Summer of Love, travelled in a "Yellow Submarine" Yes, I've done a lotta livin there's some takin' and some givin', but I still find time to pray. I saw two presidents shot, had no use for pot, love to sing, "God Bless the USA" Instrument break then repeat
