Description
A song that attempts to rationalise and in some way appease feelings of dread and worry about unrest in the world today (and tomorrow! ). The title " We're like birds in the rain" compares the resilience of good creative people to that of birds singing in the rain, a deliberately naive (but beautiful!) title to provoke cynics with blood pressure!!
Lyrics
We’re like birds in the rain Is that thunder calling ? or is it just in my head. Big rain is falling. And the sky is ochre red. Flash of white light. Steals the sight from my eyes. And my ears are hiding . From the dark and angry skies. But we’re alright... Though too many why’s. But we’re alright... Though too many lies. But we’re alright... Though too many why’s. But we’re alright... Though too many lies. *********************************** Is that smoke a-rising? Or is it mist in my eyes? The town is burning. And the rats are on the rise. The sound of chaos. Echo’s in the night. And the flame of freedom. is moving out of sight. But we’re alright... Though too many why’s. But we’re alright... Though too many lies. But we’re alright... Though too many why’s. But we’re alright... Though too many lies.
