Alone

A song written as a sort-of journal entry at 4 a.m. in the immediate aftermath of an ended relationship when I was 20... tinged with the sadness, loneliness, and nostalgia that accompanies the end of any long-term romance. But it also includes a message of hope and self-love, because even while the emotional wound was still fresh, I knew it was the best choice for me and that I would come out of it as a stronger, happier person.
