Only a few weeks into dating my future wife, we took a break from NYC to spend the weekend in The Berkshires in MA. Drinking my morning coffee while staring out to the hills, I was finally able to breath. This one verse just came to me and I just played it over and over. When Britten walked in, she just sat down and started writing. With her lyrics, the composition poured out and would form "Beautiful September".
