A Child's Song

This is the fourth song off of my 5-track "Freedom Sleeps" EP. This song was an experiment with what I called "instrumental poetry". What I hoped to achieve was to make the listener feel the same emotions that the narrator was feeling simply by listening to the instrumentation. It's a song about sadly reflecting on the freedom and innocence of the past, but the mood changes midway through to represent a sudden fondness for it. Remembering it, but feeling a renewed optimism about the futur...
