Lyrics

all the cabs circle like vultures. all the pizza shops full of buzzed wingmen bonding after bar close. and with the city wet behind our ears (and a good laugh at ourselves) you retold the talk the first time you took her home when she said, “oh lord, every boy in new york has a broken heart and a cat.” but time will pass like parmesan. reluctant lower east side veterans taking our late nights across the bridge where the bars close in on the same scene, but the cabbies all drive black taxis, and the last call drinks clinked and upturned to the girlfriends saving us heartburn.
