Written during one of the lowest points in his life, Neal expresses the sense of defeat we all can feel when problems get the better of us ("Beaten down, losin' battle, wasn't man enough today"). But refusing to remain mired in discouragement, he turns to God, finding peace and comfort in Him ("in the hollow of Your hand").
