Description

Country Rock...song was written on I-75 driving home after work. I walked out in the shop on a Friday after lunch. Salesman was out there flicked his cigarette on the floor looked at me with a disgusted look...I looked at him and said "Four More Hours and I'm gonna love my life. Forgot about it...later on the way home it came back to my memory and in less than 20 minutes I wrote this song on the Interstate

Lyrics

“Four More Hours” (Verse 1) I’ll take a burger and a bowl of chili Not too much I’m going home to my Philly Hold the mayo cause I’m gonna do it right Four more hours and I’m gonna love my life again (Verse 2) I don’t feel like I got a dead-end job It just ain’t what I’m made of The boss came in just to tell me what to do Four more hours and I’m gonna love my life again (Verse 3) The best time of the weekend is here Cause I haven’t used a minute and I don’t have a care Watching a movie by candle light And holding my girl by the fireside (Verse4) Saturday morning fits me like a charm Don’t have to wake up to that silly alarm Working in the yard or climbing in the trees Or sitting on the porch in my BVD’s (Chorus) Four more hours gonna be alright Four more hours gonna hold my baby tight Four more hours seems like a dream Four more hours and I’m gonna love my life again (Verse 5) Sunday morning spend some time with the Lord We’re having chicken with the couple next door Sitting in the sun and playing my tunes Four more hours and I’m gonna love my life
