PlayKokoro efo (Vegetable bug)

by Tosinger

This folk song in Yoruba (A Nigerian language) tells a story of how leafy vegetables cannot be eaten because a bug (kokoro efo) ate through it. When people try to see the cause of the damage, they always search outside of the vegetable whereas the culprit bug can be found right within the vegetable itself. It is a proverbial folk tale used to explain why the people that hurt you most are usually the closest to you. I played the acoustic guitar(self taught)and the harmonious vocals' all me :).Enjoy!
