Black Cadillac is about a young man who at the age of seventeen began to chase his dreams. The Black Cadillac symbolizes his dreams and the man in black his opportunity and he took it no matter what. As the song progress he is thrown into the lime light on a huge stage and realizes his dreams have came true. Then at the end of the song encourages all people to not give up and not to ever give up on the dream of making it and dont waste any time.
