Description
Years ago, I worked in a steel door factory in Kansas. In the evenings the sun would set, casting rays of yellow light through out the factory. I always wanted to be out to enjoy the coolness of the evening, but was stuck at work. This song is a just a remembrance of that time.
Lyrics
Yellow skies are on the ground, yellow skies are all around Telling tales of the day, that are slipping away (Chorus) Rays of laughter splatter on the wall Like to autumn leaves fighting for the fall So politely it mocks me from afar oh, but I don't mind at all....yellow skies. Factories won't run on their own. Money trees were never grown. Just before the clock hits nine, I'll wait for the yellow skies.
