One Breath to Breathe

This dark and melodically haunting ballad was inspired by the death of late Alice in Chains vocalist Layne Staley. Composed at the time of his death, the song gives a hypothetical account of the singer's torturous and reclusive final months on earth. Instrumentally, “One Breath to Breathe” is arranged as a classical guitar, flute, and cello chamber piece with sections that feature a full rock band.
