Lay It Down contains a samples of "Lay it Down" performed by Al Green. Its slow bounce and hard hitting 808's and clap's gives it a hip hop club feel. There is also a strong present of instrumental over-layers that gives the track a theatrical melody mood. Quick transitions from hook to verse and chopped vocal samples makes this a very open-ended track for good word play and catchy verse punchlines. "I'm lovin it"!
