Description
Every Other Goodbye is one of Edgewood's first EP cuts written by Bryan Burgin the band's rhthym guitar player. It is a love song with heart and soul poured into it. The chorus pulls you in with it's catchy melody and hook and has a great mix of country and rock guitar. The song also gives the lead vocalist Robert Key a chance to put feeling into the chord change toward the end of the song.
Lyrics
Verse 1: Those tail lights were glowing The brightest red I'd ever seen And I watched your drive away Just like on a movie screen It was supposed to be forever Until we were old and gray My bed it lays here empty And now I spend my days Chorus: With every other memory Every other night I couldn't sleep Every other time I see your face Pass by me on a crowded city street Every day out in the sun Every other night I came undone Every other star up in the sky Every other goodbye Verse 2: I should have known all about it It been running through my head Now I can't forget about it And those words I never said I find myself thinking About the things that just went wrong And I lay here in my bed tonight And I know, I know you're gone Chorus: With every other memory Every other night I couldn't sleep Every other time I see your face Pass by me on a crowded city street Every day out in the sun Every other night I came undone Every other star up in the sky Every other goodbye Chorus: With every other memory Every other night I couldn't sleep Every other time I see your face Pass by me on a crowded city street Every day out in the sun Every other night I came undone Every other star up in the sky Every other goodbye
