Description
Every Spring I wait with desperate impatience for the greening of hedge and bank. This is the sign I take that Old Winter is done for and Youthful Spring is risen again. I see in my mind's eye, Jack-in-the-Green, striding the hillsides and hedgerows, sowing magic all about himself, stirring the long-quiet earth back to life. There is something deep and passionate about him that I cannot explain. I would call him down, back into all our lives, somehow.
