Description

Claire and I recorded this song as part of our ambitious self titled album with Grammy winning producer Malcolm Burn. The song was written in a windowless bedroom in the depths of Brookyln as a plea to a friend to understand a story that hopefully seems more complicated than it is. Malcolm sets the scene with his magic touch, combined with the stunning original performance, with uniquely masterful guitar work and vibrant harmony vocals, by the twin sisters Sarah and Claire Bowman.

Lyrics

Is this the end of all the asking? Tonight I feel a well of dreams It's so quiet and I feel restless You wait with me to be sure that I'm at ease. You rectify me you intensify me you magnetize me But before you leave, let me tell you something There's nothing in my hands Nothing up my sleeve Just look at my eyes if you don't think I'm listening And tell me you don't see, tell me it's nothing. The place that calls me makes no sense to me I knew I was gone, I can see how long you stayed. You rectify me you intensify me you fascinate me But before you leave, let me tell you something There's nothing in my hands Nothing up my sleeve Just the sludge on my heart that needs some sorting Tell me you don't see. Tell me it's nothing. Is this the end of all that's troubling? I think I've made my circle around the sun I'll go on and face age with dignity and you'll walk with me awhile to see it happen.
