Description
As a touring singer/songwriter, I relish meeting new fans, exploring various cities, and taking in the landscape. Although it is always an adventure on tour, it's a wonderful feeling to return home.
Lyrics
Making my way through the cool Kentucky rain, winding through rocky hills of green and gold. Windshield wipers brush away Naomi's tears, semis screaming by like the river's flow. Hypnotic highway lines put me in a trance, stretching somewhere between Des Moines and Council Bluffs. Chessboard traffic in Chicago, sinking in the mud in Kansas. I keep on driving, 200 miles to go, smell of diesel in my mind, another cup of coffee, 'til I'm Home. Change my strings another day is done, late night sleeping all alone. The glow on the clock piercing the dark, my mind is racing I pick up the phone. Another night going down the road, song is playing low on the radio. I keep on driving 200 miles to go, exit in front of me, and finally I'm home.
