Breathe is about living for or through music. We feel so natural when we play music, almost as natural as breathing. The song is also about receiving criticism from others while wallowing in your own self-criticism. It's like...'ok, i beat myself up enough, do you have to pour salt in the wound?' So, playing music is like the escape from all that doubtful noise going on our heads...'it's the only time...we can breathe'
