I started out the week on the west coast, flown home to learn of my grandfather's passing away and within 72 hours found myself in a hotel parking lot off I-70 in rural Pennsylvania, on our way to his burial. My parents were already asleep, but I was nursing a broken heart and restless on the verge of some big life changes. I couldn't sleep.
