I wrote this song and performed last year, until my wife became pregnant (at that time the song was entirely based on an imaginary situation). I stopped performing during her pregnancy and only after she gave birth (and sadly, we lost our son shortly after his birth) did I perform this song again. Then, the song became much more personal and really carried a tremendous weight for me.

Since you've been gone I've never thought what this running just my cost. Though it goes down like old steel wool another empty bottle's getting full.
