A Mermaid Lives at the Bottom of the River

I live here in the Weeki Wachee, Florida, the only city of live mermaids. I had been wanting to write a song about mermaids for quite some time in honor of the history of the place where I live. One day I started to write this and it came to me. It turned out to be a sad song about a mermaid unlike what I had planned but I guess that's just what I do. Sad songs are my thing.
