This is a song I wrote about and for my son Lucas who is high functioning Autistic. It's about our fears hopes and realizations of and about his development. The video is a collection of pictures of him and our family as he's grown. It's been a long hard trip that continues but we find joy in the sweet soul that he is.

Our Angel in silence who runs through our lives, Who we’d hoped was only unwilling to let the words come to life Past his lips, through his mind, Lord, what’s got his tongue? Sometimes we find ourselves wondering just what it is that we might have done. There’s this dream that I have where we talk the whole night through, About all and everything in the world and laugh about the things you’d do, When you where two. Now our Angel speaks in tongues and we try so hard to hear And when you just can’t understand well it fills your heart with fear. Past his lips, through his mind, Lord, when will he speak? Give him words to live life so when night comes we can sleep. And that dream that I had slips further from me.
