Description

Please excuse me for the interference (Pete Waller/DeafboyOne) Written when I was 15 and three quarters. DeafboyOne is my 'Sign' name given to me by Deaf and Deafblind clients at Action on Hearing Loss Poolemead Centre Bath England. My ear drums were perforated when a kid came up behind me and slapped both ears causing profound damage to my timpanic membranes and inner ear dysfunction.

Lyrics

Please excuse me for the interference (Pete Waller aka DeafboyOne) please excuse me for the interference but my brain is just not functioning - maybe if you turn the screws the picture will become much more clear - but theres a snowstorm rising in my head - and I cant hear for the thunder anyway please excuse me for my my delirium but the pain needs adjusting - take the optic nerve and it may twitch and my blood will begin to rise - and I will scream before your very eyes - but I cant hear for the thunder anyway - I wish that I could make contact - Ive lost all emotion - I wish that I could just shout out - dont wanna start a commotion - give me your eyes - give me your heart - give me your love - so that I can pull myself out of here - if you see me standing on the corner - dont touch me I will crumble into dust - please avoid me cos I cant make contact - I apologise for the interference - but Im not in motion with the waves - and Im sinking down into the ocean - so please excuse me for the interference but my brain is just not functioning - maybe if you turn the screws the picture will become much more clear - but theres a snowstorm rising in my head - and I cant hear for the thunder anyway... (sound inside my skull - its called Tinnitus) Recorded by Rod Willner Blue Mountains NSW Australia. Performance by Pete Waller aka DeafboyOne Vocals and Australian Maton Acoustic Guitar with Ernie Ball strings. All Rights Reserved. Thankyou for listening
