Description

One of my first completed originals written and a rough demo at best. This was a very personal venture, but a very needed release about the struggles of losing my Grandmother to Alzheimer's. Any input or advice is welcomed warmly. I appreciate the listen.

Lyrics

I've been talking in my sleep at night. I feel the earth is moving still. The stars are out. I connect the dots. But the picture aint' so clear. The earth is swallowing her body slow And I'm waiting for the call. My hands are numb And my brain is tired, I think I'll get some sleep tonight. But here she comes in my dreams again I think I said her name Once or twice I need a glory glory hallelujah now Where is God when you need him most? Getting scared that I'm losing faith I see the greatness in the world And I see their faces Everything takes a different shape My life is changing in all places My friends are all so much older now we keep in touch by the telephone but the rings are so quiet now like a low, slow, moan I find comfort in her warm hands I see the light in her fading eyes She tells me everything will be fine I know that somewhere It will tonight Still I see the shell of her body left But I do not see her mind What I'd give to offer release But I know that there is no time I've been talking in my sleep at night I feel the earth is moving still Stars are out, I connect the dots But the picture aint so clear The earth is swallowing her body slow And I'm waiting for the call. Glory glory Hallelujah now Where is God when you need him most Cause I see greatness in the world And their faces all imposed.
