Description
This song was inspired by my lack of conviction when it comes to choosing a religion. As much as my parents tried, they were never able to convince me to dedicate myself to a single belief. People feel something and label it according to what/who they've been influenced by in their life. My gut tells me that everyone out there, no matter where they are, who they are, and what they believe - are really feeling the same thing regardless of what label they put on it.
Lyrics
I've given all I could to faith I've honoured all that's good and just but you say I'll still go to hell cause God's got only one way to tell But I'm not afraid to die I'll hope for a reprieve when I finally tell him why I couldn't simply just believe They say there's only God's command that it's only His way in the end But He never showed me to my face He left us only humans to fight his case So I'm not afraid to die I'll hope for a reprieve when I finally tell him why I couldn't simply just believe My question to you now God Is there only one way God? Just give me a humble sign I promise you I will resign Cause I'm to afraid to die I'll hope for a reprieve when I finally tell him why it was so hard to believe
