Chine

An ambience for a distinctive stage set - in this case the play "L'ABC de Notre Vie" - for a scene where the actress performs a traditional chinese morning ceremony. I felt I had to write a fully original, chinese-like tune. Since I never before experienced such a challenge, I tried my best to grasp the character of the the traditional chinese theatrical music, with its original instrumenetation and technique. One of the pieces I am most proud of.
